Jeremy Kapteyn is an intellectual property attorney at Rose Law Group in Scottsdale, AZ, with an academic background in the life sciences. Jeremy earned his Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Purdue University doing his research in a plant natural products lab. He subsequently did postdoctoral research in plant functional genomics at the University of Arizona Department of Plant Sciences and Bio5 Institute where his research was focused on specialized plant metabolism in basil and tomato glandular trichome cells.
Following his postdoc, Jeremy attended law school at the University of Arizona and joined the intellectual property practice of one of the largest law firms in the western U.S., where he provided clients with intellectual property procurement and strategic counseling services. Jeremy recently joined Rose Law Group, Arizona’s leading cannabis industry legal services provider, with an interest in leveraging his technical training and intellectual property experience to help cannabis industry clients recognize and develop intellectual property assets and enhance the value of their businesses.
Little Known Fact: Jeremy may be genetically predisposed to a career related to plants – his first job was on a produce farm in western Michigan owned by his grandfather and now run by his uncle.
