Jacqueline McGowan is a former stockbroker who spent 18 years on Wall Street as an Institutional Equity Derivatives Broker. It was during this time where she developed an unquenchable thirst for research and facts, which she now applies to tracking cannabis regulations in the State of California. Her friends call her "Cannabis Google," due to her ability to answer questions in mere seconds regarding hundreds of municipalities and where each jurisdiction is in the cannabis regulatory process.
McGowan founded the leading regulatory news tracker called the “California - City & County Regulation Watch." This page has become the number one news source for cannabis regulations in the state. She began the group at the beginning of 2016 as a way to track local bans, which were sweeping the state after the passage of MCRSA. The group then became entrenched in tracking Proposition 64 bans and is now monitoring the implementation of the newly passed MAUCRSA which has blended both MCRSA and AUMA laws into one.
McGowan's consulting company Ban Aid is currently not taking on any new clients at the moment. She is in transition and preparing to introduce a new company to the California marketplace, which will certainly add immense value to every facet of the industry.
